Wellvisor's 03-08 Forester rain guard installation!

If you are looking for an another option over the JDM Subaru Oem Rain guards these Wellvisors Rain guards could be your savior. I purchased these after having a used Oem set break during shipping and was not looking forward to that happening again. The basic design of these is very similar and without a detailed eye, most will never know that these aren’t the Subaru oem versions.

Unboxing these shows they aren’t terrible too much to them. Two guards adhered with a length of 3m tape that run the length of the A pillar to the C pillar. Then a small packet of hardware that includes 3 clips. Lastly a small alcohol towelette to clean and prep the surface for the 3M tape. Add your favorite handy Philips screwdriver and you are ready to install these!

Rolling the windows is the first step. Cleaning the the plastic with the supplied alcohol swab.

Pull down the weather seal on both the front and rear windows. Start at the rear of each window.

After cleaning the area thoroughly you will need to pull down the weather seal. You will now find the second screw from the A-pillar and undo it. You will now snap the clip in it’s place and install the screw. This will help you locate the placement for the rain guard.

This is where the screw is on the A-pillar.

After lining up the clip with indentation in the guard start to slowly remove a small portion of 3m tape backer exposing the sticky side to the vehicle. Pulling at a 45 degree angle appeared the most efficient as other angles can allow the tape to tear and makes you dig it out from under the guard and start back over.

Slow and steady, keeping a good angle will keep the 3M tape together and get it done.

Now you will add the remaining clips into the weather guard track which adds extra support.

Now you will push the window seal back into the channels and your work is complete. Everything will be in it’s place and the other side will be the same technique.
