One of the most common first upgrades to a turbo Subaru is a downpipe. Now the next question after a tune will be, do you need to open up the exhaust behind the downpipe or not?
Fancy new downpipe is ready to get put on, but how will you connect your it to your exhaust….

For me this was an easy question to answer for my daily driver/family car and I wanted to stay with a quiet exhaust but finding a way to join a downpipe was the big question. I went to Grimmspeed to solve this mystery with their 3" to factory adapter.
Installation is straight forward. Fitting the donut gasket on the oem side and the Grimmspeed gasket on the downpipe.
I have had terrific luck with many Grimmspeed products so after a bit of reading I knew this was the one for me. With a flared adapter it smooths out the transition from 3" to your oem midpipe. Made from an incredible durable laser cut steel you never have to worry about replacing it.

It fits right in place with a small amount of wiggling from your downpipe and stock catback. With it's quality construction and well made gaskets you won't need to think about exhaust leaks from this location.
