Subaru OEM gasket kit! Letting them take care of the part numbers and parts!

Hey!... Welcome to another #modmonday where we keep your Subaru running down the road! This week is all about the Oem Subaru Engine Gasket kit. Having gone through three of these now I can say they are a great buy for your engine overhaul.

There are so many cool ways to assembly the whole gasket kit for photography purposes! This is one from IAG!

When the time comes for a rebuild, new engine build or headgasket replacement... where will you source the heaps of gaskets necessary for the job? If you are me, Subaru of course! You can piece out the necessary gaskets... but you will def be hunting for part number for awhile to track them all down, while also spending quite a bit more.

This is how it comes! Slightly smaller packages inside! Subaru gasket kit 10105AB010 06-07 WRX, 06-08 Forester XT

Let's delve into the kit.. A few of the most notable seals you will get are cam, crank, rear main, valve cover, spark plug and oil cooler seals. For some odd reason you get three, count them three, rear main seals... but you don't get the half moon seals for the back of the head. Which you need to replace as these get quite brittle over time.

In the exhaust dept you will receive manifold to head and crossover pipe but once again you are missing the uppipe to turbo gasket, manifold to uppipe and turbo to downpipe gasket. Given you have to remove these to get the engine out.. I am not sure why they are omitted from the kit.

Exhaust gaskets ahoy! But we need more, so make sure you order what you need! Timing belt cover seals on the right side.

You will receive all the crush washers for exterior oil lines for the Acvs and turbo, the whole set the intake manifold and the timing cover's rubber seals to keep the dirt out. Just Subaru making your life easy with this kit, who is going to remember those oddball rubber seals.

If you have upgraded to a vf turbo and Sti intercooler the Forester intercooler and bypass valve will be unnecessary. If you have back off plates for your air pump system you will find these aren’t needed.

Valve seals, o-rings and oil drain plug gasket, oh my! So much to sift though.

You will also find a full set of valve seals, valve keeps and piston circlips if you are taking your build to the next level. Many seals that I have never even figured out where they go reside in here.. One day I am sure they will come in handy.

There is basically a kit for every Subaru engine out there and some kits will add more or subtract parts given the years it covers. I wish they would add a few of the noted missing gaskets into the kits, as they seem pretty necessary. I was about to order a few gaskets for the new engine build but this is def a more economical way to do it. You can always hold on to those extra gaskets for later!

More and more gaskets! We have tgv, intake manifold, head gaskets, throttle body, water pump and valve cover gaskets with a few others.
